About the Proud Lilywhites
As the official Tottenham Hotspur LGBTQI+ Supporters’ Association, the award-winning Proud Lilywhites have been at the forefront of promoting LGBTQI+ and overall inclusion within English football since 2014. With our ongoing efforts, we strive to propel Tottenham Hotspur to the forefront of football clubs championing diversity and inclusivity across all aspects of the fan community.
The Proud Lilywhites have worked hard to ensure a welcoming and supportive environment for LGBTQI+ fans and allies alike within the Spurs family. Our initiatives include educational campaigns, events, and partnerships aimed at creating awareness, challenging stereotypes, fighting discrimination and promoting inclusion. As we enter our 10th year, we remain committed to amplifying LGBTQI+ voices, advocating for equality, and driving positive change both within the club and the wider football community. With our vibrant and passionate membership, the Proud Lilywhites are proud to be at the forefront of the ongoing journey towards a more inclusive and actively anti-discriminatory football culture.
Our Mission
- Together we can continue to drive Tottenham Hotspur to become the leading football club in matters relating to LGBTQI+, and wider inclusion, across all the intersections of our fan base.
- We know that discrimination rarely travels alone, and we believe our collective experiences can drive Spurs to continue to be real leaders in matters of diversity and inclusion.
- We want to continue to work with the Club to help engage LGBTQI+ supporters and provide a safe environment, including online for fans and employees, including coaches and players, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, ethnicity, or ability.
- We will do this by continuing the growth and development of the Proud Lilywhites with a continued focus on our three key themes:
- Campaigns and visibility
- Education and awareness
- Socials and engendering belonging

We are thrilled to announce that the Proud Lilywhites have been honored with the prestigious 2023 Football v Homophobia Supporters’ Group award. This recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to promoting inclusivity, challenging discrimination, and fostering a safe and welcoming environment within the Tottenham Hotspur community.

The Proud Lilywhites were announced as winners of the Football Supporters Federation “Fans for Diversity Award” in 2019. Co-chairs Chris Paouros and Simon Gray proudly accepted the award on behalf of the Proud Lilywhites.
